Snow showers are making their way to New York and New Jersey this weekend. Snow could start falling as early as 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service. High temperatures are expected to be in the low-30s.

A deadly winter storm is pummeling Washington, DC, and the mid-Atlantic Monday after causing hundreds of crashes and flight cancellations and knocking out power to hundreds of thousands in the central United States over the weekend.

A winter storm brought snow to New York City and the tri-state area on Monday. Here are snow totals in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut as of 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Monday’s winter storm system was hardly noticeable in northern Allegheny and southern Butler counties, but to the south it was a different story. The National Weather Service says the most snow fell in West Virginia.
